About Re:Nue
As the social enterprise arm of The Salvation Army, discover how we meet community needs and protect our planet through sustainable goals.
A year of inception
Founded in 1985 as the "Home Collection Service," Re:Nue, formerly "Red Shield Industries," began its journey at the former Nan Hwa Primary School. We collect donated goods from the public and corporate partners. Proceeds from the sale of these goods at retail and wholesale stores supports The Salvation Army's mission.

Early growth and expansion
In the early 2000s, Re:Nue relocated to 309 Upper Serangoon Road and expanded significantly. Key achievements include:
- Expanded donation network
- Diversified into wholesale
- Participated in regional humanitarian efforts
- Promoted social inclusion with partners like IMH & APSN
- Invested in IT for future growth.

A decade of transformation
2014 marked a new era of streamlined operations for Re:Nue. Smart devices and systems enhanced efficiency and sustainability, while increasing donation turnover and minimizing waste. With a flourishing business, Re:Nue expanded internationally, exporting goods to the Middle East and neighboring countries.

Present and future
- Rebranding exercise to create an identity that resonates with our community
- Relocation to JTC Defu for more automated workflows and greater efficiency
- Expanded donation network and retail shops
Re:Nue continues to seek stronger partnerships for sustainable impact.
